Apple says moving iMessage to Android will hurt iPhone sales.

Apple employees, including high-level executives, have admitted that bringing imessage to Android could have a huge impact on iPhone sales. Messaging service is a major part of Apple's ios and has also been identified as a major obstacle preventing users from using other messaging services. A lawsuit filed by Epic Games against Apple revealed some key comments made by e-mails from Apple employees. Epic Games argues that Apple is deliberately creating various methods to attract iPhone users to the iOS system, and imessage is a key part of that strategy.

 

According to the documents, Apple decided not to develop the imessage software for Android since 2013. imessage was first launched in 2011 with iOS 5 and has become an important service with features like group messages and App store. imessage is not the best messaging service currently available, but many people are tempted to use it because it is the usual option for iphone, i pad, mac OS everywhere.
